Blake has reported on a variety of stories. He has covered a number of local events such as the Vancouver’s International Salsa Festival, and has also crossed off a few items off his bucket list. These include skydiving, getting a bee beard with over 6,000 bees and more! Blake has also interviewed influential people in Vancouver and Canada. Some of these individuals include City Planner Larry Beasley, Physician Dr. Gabor Mate, Science Journalist Bob McDonald, Arctic Air’s star Adam Beach and CEO/Founder of the “Ladies Who Lunch” Network, Maria Kritikos.

During the summer of 2013, Blake served as Moose FM’s Fun Chaser/Local Personality in Smithers, BC. There, he conducted several hundred interviews ranging from interviewing individuals from the community, to well-known musicians and local politicians.

He also conducted interviews on BCIT’s Evolution 107-9 radio station during his studies. He interviewed individuals such as Science Journalist Bob McDonald and National Outreach Coordinator for Mercy For Animals Lucas Solowey among others.


Blake was previously a writer and a video producer for Surrey604 – Surrey’s online media channel. He has interviewed several personalities including #1 Best Selling Author Callie Kares, and renowned South Asian Artists Adnan Sami and Salim-Sulaiman among others.

Blake was also an online content producer for IdeasXChange, an online platform which engages audiences with the latest educational content – from the new environmentally friendly technology to the nerdy and quirky science of social behaviour. This is done through writing, video features and series, and documentary production.

He also helped run part of the advertising department for Surrey604 and also wrote advertorials for local businesses.
